SchoolReady AI (“SchoolReady”, “we”, “us”) helps parents plan back-to-school shopping. We built the app to be private by design: we do not sell your data and we do not show ads. This policy explains what we collect and why.
Information we collect
- Account data — your name, email address, and password (stored only as a secure hash).
- Family & list data — the children profiles, supply lists, items, budgets, and reminders you create.
- Import content — the text, photos, or PDFs you submit for AI list extraction.
- Subscription status — plan and trial state, provided by our billing partner (RevenueCat and the app stores). We never receive your full card number.
How we use it
We use your data solely to provide the service: to build and sync your checklists, track budgets, send the reminders you enable, and manage your subscription. Import content is sent to our AI provider only to extract list items, and is not used to train third-party models.
Sharing
We share data only with service providers that operate the app on our behalf (hosting, AI extraction, and subscription billing), and only to the extent needed to run the service. We do not sell personal data. We may disclose information if required by law.
Data retention & deletion
Your data is kept while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account at any time from the app’s Settings screen, which removes your profile, children, lists, reminders, and subscription record. You may also email us to request deletion.
Children’s privacy
SchoolReady is intended for parents and guardians. Child profiles hold only the name and grade a parent enters to organize shopping; the app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data directly from them.
